Instagram Tutorial #1

Updated: Jul 29, 2020

Create a unique custom backdrop to compliment your pictures directly on your Instagram Stories. No additional app required.

Click on the STORY icon of your Instagram account and click this frame to go to your phone's photo gallery.

Select a picture of your choice from your phone's gallery.

The picture gets imported into your stories in a full screen mode by default. The date of creation text also does get imported automatically. This can be removed manually.

Manually twitch the picture with your fingers to resize it as per your creative liking.

The background color gradient is a feature by Instagram stories, where it creates a background gradient by picking the picture colors. Cool right!

Tap on the sticker button (the square smiley icon on the top panel of your Insta stories) and then type "minimal". A list of sticker options pop-up. This is what we choose to proceed with.

Add the floral sticker to the frame and resize it as per your liking.

Repeat the process of adding this floral sticker again to the frame.

Keep tweaking the size of the sticker and proceed with the design as per

your creative sensibilities.

After repeating the process this is where we arrive at.

Now twitch the main picture to a minimal size and remove it from the main frame.

Exit Insta stories (don't worry your design will be intact and will not disappear).

Head to your phone's gallery and long press(iPhone users) the same picture

and a copy option shall pop up. Tap on copy.

Re-open Insta stories and the copied picture shall pop up on your

story frame as an icon like this. Cool right!!

Well, the earlier two steps are not mandate. Just that with this you get the main picture

and the floral stickers as layers (like Photoshop if you know) and now you get a little more creative freedom to play around with the design.

You can tap the element to bring them forward or backward.

Insta stories also helps you check the center alignment of the picture with these grid lines, where you can tap hold and move around the picture when it's center aligned, these blue grid lines pop up with a buzz sound notification. Helps OCD much design nerds like me!

Review your design and see if more floral stickers need to be added, add finishing touches by resizing and repositioning the elements as your creative sensibilities.

Walllaaaahhh...done!!
